MMLA Elects New Board Members

We are pleased to announce the appointment of two individuals to serve as General Members on the 2016 Michigan Mortgage Lenders Association Board of Governors! These individuals have been elected by the MMLA State Board of Governors to serve a two year term.

 

Todd Potter MMLATodd Potter, CMB

Todd Potter has been in the finance and mortgage industry for over 22 years.  Starting off as a Finance Representative with The Associates, he quickly moved into a producing/operational manager with The Associates, First National Bank of America, Brighton Commerce Bank and Michigan Heritage Bank before moving into correspondent lending in 2004.  Since then, he has worked primarily in correspondent lending with Countrywide, JP Morgan Chase, Affiliated Mortgage and now with Envoy Mortgage.  Today, Todd is the SVP – National Sales Manager with the Correspondent Division of Envoy Mortgage.  He and a group of seasoned correspondent professionals started to build the new channel of business for Envoy Mortgage early in 2013 and he now has 11 Regional Account Managers who manage their growing group of 135+ lenders across the country.

Roy  Sexton is Senior Vice President of Corporate Affairs for Trott Law, P.C., a  Farmington Hills, Mich.-based real estate law firm. Prior to joining Trott, Roy spent 10 years in various planning and communications roles at Oakwood Healthcare System, serving as the Corporate Director of Strategic Communications and Planning. In this role he led a staff of 20 marketing professionals and developed the strategic direction for the $1 billion health care system.
Roy earned his Bachelor’s degree from Wabash College in 1995 and is a 1997 graduate of The Ohio State University, where he earned his Master’s degree in Theatre. In 2007, Roy graduated with his MBA from the University of Michigan. He is a graduate of Leadership Detroit and Leadership A2Y, is a governor-appointed member of the Michigan Council of Labor and Economic Growth and was appointed to the Michigan Mortgage Lenders Association Board of Governors (Southeast Michigan) in 2012.
Roy has been involved on the following nonprofit boards and committees: First Step, Michigan Quality Council, National MS Society, ASPCA, Wabash College Southeast Michigan Alumni Association, Penny Seats Theatre Company and the Spotlight Players. Roy was also recently appointed the Midwest Chapter Board of the Legal Marketing Association.
